On Sunday 7 July, between 1.00 and 4.00pm we’ll be holding our annual BioBlitz. Put it in your diary now!
Whether you’re just getting started with wildlife watching, or have many years’ experience, we’d love to see you there. You can help us discover what lives in the meadow, and learn from other experts.
Ben Hargreaves, from Lancashire Wildlife Trust, will be leading a grasshopper survey between 1.00 and 2.00pm, and we’ll also be offering a ‘BioStroll’ through the meadow during the afternoon.
Our first BioBlitz in 2023 was a great success. We found many species of butterfy, bumble bee, solitary bees, hoverflies, grasses and wildflowers. A particular highlight was a rare Purple Hairstreak butterfly.
What will we find in 2024? Come and help us find out!
