A Year in a Community Meadow.
Our first year saw us take up the challenge to transform 5.5 acres of rough pasture into a species-rich wildflower meadow for the community and visitors to enjoy. Lancaster City Council supported us with poly tunnel space and our volunteers set about growing wildflowers from locally harvested seed. Our volunteers planted a staggering 9,451 plug plants on to the meadow and donated 816 hours to the project.
