Wray Scouts June 10th

We had a brilliant time with Wray scouts. Joseph organised a super wild flower treasure hunt and the Scouts really enjoyed the hunt and treasure! We did some seed bombing with the Grayson’s precious wild flower seed on the mole hills and planted about 200 plug plants grown by our lovely volunteers in Lancaster City Council Poly Tunnels. The scouts did a sterling job of digging docks and eradicated a huge patch!

Thank you to Carol Edmondson, Plantlife Green Recovery Challenge Project Officer and Forest of Bowland meadow specialist, Joseph, Kit, Alex Sarney, Scout leaders Elinor Smith, Kris Parkinson, Milly Taylor for all your time and support.

‘Thank you so much for the great evening we had on Thursday. I think it is fair to say everyone had a brilliant time even those who were not so sure plug planting was for them! I think they are all converts now‘.

We would like to thank The Areti Charitable Trust for funding this event.
